Assignment: Bike Design Presentation 1 - Cover slide – Name, Title (Bike design), Class, Date, Image, Background 2 – Five Frame slides – 5 Different soft-tail bike frames from 5 different companies Full size images, label each one: Company name, Model name, Website URL. 3 – One Frame Geometry - 2d drawing from website and Chart - Use this geometry for your bike frame! 4 - Two Full Assembly drawings and Stress Analysis Shown from 2 different angles Two Close-up Details Cosmos Analysis 5 - Parts drawings – The following will not be on slides, but will be printed: a. Main Frame b. Rear Fork (seat stay, chain stay) c. Front Fork (Stem, Handlebar and grips) d. Tire (either front or back) and Rim. Tire and Rim must be drawn as separate parts e. Seat and Seat post Title box, Scale, Orthographic, Isometric, Detail views, Dimensions as shown on example slides . Extra credit: (Put on Final Full Assemble slides, no dimension drawings required) Pedals/Crank set Derailleur/Chain Other accessories (Brakes, Shifter, reflectors, etc.)

  6. 5 Slides – Frame Examples (Try to find just the frames, not full assemblies). 5 Different companies, Each one a different style. Each *frame a different soft-tail style (two-piece with shock absorber). Full size image to cover entire slide, label each one: The company name, model name, & website URL address ex. (www.bikedesign.com)
