Technology - Mercury • Minamata Convention on Mercury – Cooperation and Coordination with Stockholm Convention – Bilateral Cooperation Brazil x Sweden – Workshop April 24, 2014. • UNEP Sub-regional Workshop for South American Countries Implementation of the Minamata Convention – September 3-7, 2014. • Clorosur presentation on Mercury Management in the Chlor Alkali Industry. • Preparatory Meeting to INC6 called by the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil – September 29, 2014 • Uruguay is the first country in South America to ratify the Minamata Convention.

Safety Transportation • Simulated accident in caustic transportation gathers Dow and the carrier Concordia – September 12, 2014, in Salvador/Bahia/Brazil. • Participation of the Fire Department, Civil Defense, Highway Police Patrol, Dow’s Medical Team, Community Members and the Salvador city government representatives, in addition to ABICLOR Associates and Guests.
