  1. Mail message with this file • Hi Paul, • I attached a document where I go over tests and describe details of what is done and what is missing. As you can see there is something in the "needed" category for each of the tests. Although some of the tests have been performed by me they are not ready for a "user" to use. • I skipped calibraiton part and the CCB, MPC tests. I only described tests 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 19. • I would like to hear if there are any questions raised regarding this. • Alex • Note these are the chamber tests conducted at SX5 by Misha et. al.

  2. Slow Control Test (test 9) • Readout LVDB/LVMB slow control parameters – done and tested (methods in DAQMBTester) • ALCT slow control test – code exists in ALCTController but status uknown (not tested ) • CFEB slow control test – done and tested (DAQMBTester) Needed: it would be nice to have a single command like “slow_control_test()” that will incorporate DAQMBTester methods used in slow control tests

Wire Tests (11, 12, 13) • AFEB counting noise (test 11) • Test noise of wire groups • Check for short circuits • AFEB Connectivity (test 12) • Pulse ALCT to check that all wires are alive • AFEB Thresholds and Analog Noise (test 13) • Measure threshold and noise of each wire group Needed: Everything related to wires needs to be done. Some code exists in ALCTController but as slow control test it was not tested by me (Wires were not timed by may ’05 when I was testing the code)

  4. CFEB DAQ Path Noise (test 15) • Measure CFEB pedestals - code exists and tested: pedestals were measured on pulse data generaged by methods of CalibDAQ and analysed by RootEventDisplay package; Oana has written new analysis package that calculates pedestals. Needed: Some form of automation of generating data and calculating pedestals and analysing them for being within specified spread etc. (or just plotting it for Misha, Fred and Nicole to analyse by eye)

  5. CFEB Connectivity (test 16) • Use pulse to check that all cathodes are connected – pulseALLdmbs() is a method of CalibDAQ; multiple tests were done in may ’05 Needed: Analysis method that checks cross-talk to confirm connectivity (under development by Oana)

  6. Comparator Thresholds and Analog Noise (test 19) • Measure comparator thresholds and noise - uses pulse from CalibDAQ to obtain comparator data Needed: Comparator data needs to be analysed (Oana)
