Results from 2012 Survey of Bristol and Swindon Schools 55% or schools in Swindon do not enter pupils for a public exam in RE One Swindon School By the end of year 11, students would have experienced 6 two and a half hour conferences which cover both RE and PSHE elements for example; war and peace, homosexuality, relationships etc At Another Swindon Academy RE is taught to KS3 and is an option at KS4. Students in year 10 have 6 lessons of RE in the year.   5. EBacc + End of Short Course = Less time for RE at KS4 and may have knock on effects for KS3 (In non-faith schools) So we need to ensure that Good RE is taught in what time is left.   7. Work with others and diversify whilst making RE stand proud ? Become experts in other areas : Citizenship , PSHE, learn and understand their learning goals and pedagogy - think laterally – how can we teach more joined up.
