STATS FINAL PROJECT Caitlin Carter, Rob Scottorn, and Haley Shimizu
Our Question? Is birth year a predictor in estimating age of marriage?
Gathering Data Each member in our group agreed to gather information from ten men and ten women, making sure we didn’t get any two individuals from the same marriage. This makes our sample a stratified random sample. We gathered data from 62 people.
Other Stats. Since we gathered data from 62 people and with our confidence level of 99% we would need .325 or greater, to show a correlation. We had .0485, so this demonstrates there is not a strong correlation.
Our Conclusion Birth year is not significant predictor in estimating age of marriage. However there is a 60% chance that you will be married between the ages of 19 and 24.5 years based on our sample. NO LINEAR CORRELATION
