Environmental Sustainability at DB Schenker • Vision DB Schenker’s ambition is to pursue all available efforts to become the most environmentally sustainable logistics provider in the world.Our environmental team will contribute at its best and is happy to render support for any problem or question you may have.
Worldwide Projects • Green products & services (Lighthouse projects) • Green Terminals e.g. Melbourne • Green Road e.g. Driver training, fuel efficient vehicles, etc. • Green Logistics Networks e.g. efficient planning of intermodal transport concepts • Green Product Rail e.g. carbon-free rail • Reduction of CO2 emissions • Target is to reduce emissions by 20% by 2020 • Note: More than 60% of DB’s emissions are emitted by DB Schenker • Environmental Management System - ISO 14001 certification • EcoTransit – Development of online tool to compare emissions and energy consumption of different transport modes (Road, Rail, inland waterway, ocean and air)
