  5. Which side of the heart is thickest? • Collect a heart diagram and stick it into your notes • The left side of the heart has a thicker muscular wall than the right side • Why do you think this is? • Chamber 4 has to pump blood all round the body whereas chamber 2 only pumps blood to the lungs

  6. Questions Using your diagram answer the following questions Which chamber receives blood from the body? Which chamber pumps blood to the lungs There are 4 valves in the heart what is their function? If a doctor wanted to listen to your heart beat what low tech instrument would he/she use?
