Current projects 00000 Organic geochemistry of meteorites, organic geochemistry and stable isotope geochemistry of the Permian/Triassic, Triassic/Jurassic and the “Clovis Extinction” mass extinction… Geochemical biogenicity of micro-fossils in 3.6 billion year old sediments in western Australia… Hot-spring silica organic systems particularly high altitude thermal areas in Chile where silica coats living bacteria… Other slightly more esoteric areas --- the philosophy of defining life and what can be used from knowledge gained to practical applications in the search for living organisms or past life on planets.
