  2. United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea The international agreement for States division of the ocean environment was a conference that convened in New York in 1973. It ended nine years later with the adoption in 1982 of a constitution for the seas - the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). 11th ERVO-2009, Denmark 14-15 May, Copenhagen

Criteria for limits extension Gardier line A line delineated to the outermost fixed points at each of which the thickness of sedimentary rocks is at least 1% of the shortest distance from such point to the foot of the continental slope (FOS).   5. Based on these criteria, Spain together with some European countries have proposed the extension of the CS in two specific areas.
