E N D
Statement of Purpose: Why I Teach • I believe all children can learn and deserve the best education. • I believe I can provide an environment that promotes fairness and respect, where students feel safe. • I believe that as a teacher, it is my responsibility to teach and promote social development and group responsibility. • I believe as a teacher, it is important to model the love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
Climate of Expectations • Be proactive—actively participate and being prepared • Respect others, yourself and your school • Synergize—cooperation, teamwork and collaboration • To reinforce these expectations we use… • Positive reinforcements, that include comments, • notes home, email, etc. • Parents will be contacted by the teacher if there is a behavior issue that needs to be addressed.
Please communicate any issues your student shares with you to me to insure a positive learning environment for your child. We are learning to respect each other as individuals and encouraging everyone to be their best. Instead of telling me every time there is a problem, and as a way to promote problem solving, I encourage students to talk about their problem and try to solve it themselves using an “I” message: "I feel _____ when you_______ so could you please ________."
Our Mission… Our Andersen students inspire, love, learn, and lead with purpose.
