Safety Always First At People to People, the health and safety of our Student Ambassadors have always been our top priority. For over 50 years, we've worked to continually make our health and safety measures as advanced and comprehensive as they can be.We choose our destinations carefully, relying on the advice of the U.S. State Department, the Federal Aviation Administration, the National Transportation Safety Board, as well as numerous international safety and security organizations. Our delegation managers, who accompany each delegation and coordinate the daily activities, know the local area, are equipped with cell phones and pagers, and are supported by an international team. In addition, we provide training for our delegation leaders, all of whom are CPR-certified.The leaders teach safety during the pre-travel orientation meetings and apply various methods to ensure that students are safe and accounted for during travel. We also maintain a 24-hour presence in our U.S. headquarters during all travel periods, so that Student Ambassador families can contact their traveling student delegate with regard to any family emergencies back home.
