  3. 1. Utilizing MacroExpress The Macros are designed for • copy cataloging process • cataloging statistics by the Technical Services Division staff. U of Michigan

Sample steps of the Copy Cataloging Macros • Check for copy cataloging status, CopyCat, CopyCatEnhanced, or Original • Check for call numbers in 050, 090, and 099 (local call no.) fields • Check for a 300 field and a $$e describing supplementary materials • Series Check • Run Fix routines - Delete 263, 852, 096,029 fields, etc. • Create the 8xx, 9xx fields if needed • Enter Cataloger's Initials • Final bib review • Save Bib record • Item record update/create U of Michigan
