  2. Někdy se ve větě objeví dvě slovesa za sebou. I wantto do - sloveso v infinitivu s TO I enjoydoing - sloveso v gerundiu (-ing) I continueto do/doing – infinitiv i gerundium I cando - sloveso v infinitivu bez TO Červeně zbarvená slovesa určují, jaký bude tvar následujícího slovesa (modré sloveso). Verb + infinitive or -ing form

  3. Verb + infinitive Po těchto slovesech následuje infinitiv s to: afford, agree, appear, decide, expect, fail, hesitate, hope, manage, mean, need, offer, plan, prepare, pretend, promise, refuse, seem, want, wish Task - translate the verbs.

  4. Verb + -ing form Po těchto slovesech následuje sloveso s koncovkou ing: admit, avoid, can´t help, can´t stand, don´t mind, deny, enjoy, fancy, feel like, finish, imagine, practise, keep, postpone, spend time, quit, suggest, look forward to Task - translate the verbs.

  5. Verb + infinitive or -ing form Po těchto slovesech následuje infinitiv nebo -ingový tvar: begin, continue, hate, like, love, prefer, start It began to rain = It began raining Task - translate the verbs.
