What is the Key? Sharps (#) No # or b = C Major Flats (b)
Working them out!!! Key Signatures with Sharps (#) To work out what the key is for Key Signatures with Sharps (#) in them, look at the last Sharp and take a step up! This will be the key! G# + one step up = A The Key is A Major

Minor Key Signature • Each Key Signature that you have just learnt so far has a Relative Minor Key Signature • Firstly, work out the Major Key Signature like before. If they piece sounds like it’s a minor one you can work this out by counting down 3 semi-tones. E.G. • This key is Eb Major. • To find the Relative Minor Key, count 3 steps down • The relative Minor Key is C Minor 2 1 3
