BACK PAIN Back Pain There are many causes of back pain, and are sometimes unavoidable. They can occur at any point during your life and it may take years before causing pain or other noticeable symptoms. While traumatic events like accidents and sports injuries can lead to problematic back pain, sometimes even the simplest movements, like picking up a pen from the floor, can have painful results. As long as your back is healthy and functioning correctly, it can withstand tremendous forces without injury.
SCIATICA SCIATICA Sciatica is one of the most common forms of pain caused by pinching of the spinal nerves in the lower back. In this condition, sciatic leg pain is usually much worse than the back pain where the pinched nerve originates. The sciatic nerve is the largest single nerve in the body; it runs from each side of the lower spine through deep in the buttocks and back of the thigh, and all the way down to the foot. Sciatica commonly describes the symptoms of pain.
NECK PAIN NECK PAIN Your neck, also called the cervical spine, begins at the base of the skull and contains seven small vertebrae. Incredibly, the cervical spine supports the full weight of your head, which is on average about 12 pounds. While the cervical spine can move your head in nearly every direction, this flexibility makes the neck very susceptible to pain and injury.
WHIPLASH PAIN RELIEF TREATMENT, SYMPTOMS AND CAUSES WHIPLASH Whiplash is an injury to the cervical spine (neck) that occurs when your muscles and other soft tissues are hyper-stretched. Most cases of whiplash occur during a front or rear-end automobile collision, but are also seen in other accidents and sport-related injuries, like skiing, snowboarding, playing soccer, or football. The force of being struck in the head can cause your neck muscles, ligaments, and tendons to twist and turn with strong, unnatural force. These tissues, which are stretched far beyond their natural limits, can become torn and in some cases, permanently damaged.
HEADACHE TYPES, CAUSES AND NATURAL TREATMENT FOR HEADACHE RELIEF HEADACHE TYPES Headaches have many causes, or “triggers.” These may include foods, lights, stress, noises, lack of sleep, blood sugar changes, excessive exercise, alcohol, and more. Only about five percent of all headaches are a symptom of a primary condition. The remaining 95 percent of headaches are primary, like tension, migraine and cluster headaches. These types of headaches are not caused by disease, the headache itself is the main concern.
SHOULDER PAIN CAUSES AND NON-DRUG, NON-SURGICAL TREATMENT SHOULDER PAIN What most people call the shoulder are really several joints that combine with tendons and muscles to allow a wide range of motion to the arm from scratching your back to throwing the perfect pitch. The joint includes four tendons that hold muscle to bone. Together these four "rotator cuff" tendons stabilize the upper arm bone to the shoulder socket and allow wide movement in the shoulder. Shoulder pain is an extremely common complaint, and there are many common causes of the problem. Most shoulder problems involve the soft tissues -- muscles, ligaments, and tendons -- and pinched nerves in the neck. But it is important to get an accurate diagnosis of the cause of your symptoms so you get the right treatment.
PINCHED NERVE RELIEF PINCHED NERVE Pinched nerves are often the cause of pain in your spine and joints. The majority of our patients are treated for pinched nerves daily. Most people will have pinched nerves at some point in their lives, and some get them frequently. But what is a pinched nerve, and how do they get released from compression? We will spend some time on this subject because healthy nerves are vital to a healthy functioning body free of discomfort. Let’s start with a little review about the function of nerves.
