Contamination is less than 15 parts per billion by regulation Water can still be contaminated between the plant and the sink Old plumbing can deposit lead in your water Our water sources are exposed to chemical and animal wastes – are we exposed to that, too? Triple wash your tubes with the water (use very small amount) you are testing before you conduct your experiment. • Triple wash your tubes with distilled water after each experiment • No cross contamination: Do not use same tube for different waters. Always use clean tubes. • Do not eat the tablets!!!
