  1. Biochemistry Research Proposal Mini-Symposium Program: Date:6th May 2011Venue:Conference Centre (Bld50, Hall 100 )Time:8h15

  2. Please note: Presenting delegates All delegates are requested to prepare their talks for a 20 minute time slot that includes 5 minutes for questions from the audience. We will adhere strictly to the schedule as set out, therefore no changes will be possible at this time. To further assist in the flow of proceedings, all delegates must submit their presentations to the organizing committee at the venue before 8h00am on the 6th for download onto the departmental laptop. No submissions will be allowed after 8h15 or during the breaks. Please ensure that your presentations are compatible with both 2003 and 2007 versions of PowerPoint, in order to avoid any technical issues that may arise. Attending delegates All delegates are kindly requested to be seated before 8h15 (1st session), 11h00 (2nd session) and 13:20 (3rd session). Delegates are also asked to remain seated for the duration of each session to avoid unnecessary disruptions to the program. Attendance is compulsory for the entire department. If a delegate is unable to attend this event or any of the sessions, a formal apology should have been submitted in writing to the head of department before the 4th of April. All delegates are requested to remain in the courtyard during the lunch break for a lucky draw and presentation of prizes for the best speakers. *Please note: Lecturing Staff As part of the program, we are celebrating the level of excellence for presentations given by our young delegates, with prizes generously sponsored by company representatives. Deserving delegates will be considered based on the assessment forms handed out to lecturing staff at the start of each session. We kindly request that the attending staff members make use of the scheduled break at the end of the program, to determine the worthy recipients so that the prizes can be handed over to each student by the sponsoring company representative.
