Mission: The Carolina Entrepreneurial Initiative is redefining entrepreneurship and making it a life-changing experience for students, faculty and staff at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Program Audience: UNC Faculty, Staff, Students and Alumni Number of Faculty: 50 Number of Courses Offered: The Minor in Entrepreneurship includes approximately 20 courses, including electives
What is your most exciting activity? The development of a comprehensive curriculum that includes commercial, social and artistic entrepreneurship and the involvement of academics and practicing entrepreneurs in its planning and execution.
What is the biggest challenge you face? Creating a program that is consistent with the tenants of a liberal education while providing the competencies required for effective entrepreneurship.
What new initiatives are you planning? • The CEI launched in 2004 with nine new initiatives: • Challenge Competition • Faculty Fellowships • Faculty Seminars • Freshmen Seminars • Innovations Fund • Launch Program • Research Seminars • Speaker Series • Undergraduate Research
