  3. HISTORY OF OUR SCHOOL: • Ourschool is located in Mersin. Itwasfounded in 1987 by SALİM YILMAZ, a charitablebussinessmanwhodiedrecently. From 1987 to 1988 it was a secondaryschooland had only 12 classes. In 1990 an additionalbuildingwasaddedtothe main buildingand it became a highschool in thesameyear. Therearenow 27 classrooms. In 1996 a conferencehallandin 2012 a newand modern canteenandrefectorywasbuiltby Salim Yılmaz.

ThePurpose of High School / Lycee Thepurpose of secondaryeducation is togivestudents a minimum commonculture, toidentifyindividualandsocialproblems, tosearchforsolutions, toraiseawareness in ordertocontributetothesocio-economicandculturaldevelopment of thecountryandtopreparethestudentsforhighereducation, forprofession, for life andforbusiness in linewiththeirinterestsandskills.
