2008 PA 295 Renewable Portfolio Standard 10% RPS by 2015, with interim steps for 2012-13-14. Michigan needs at least 6% more renewable energy to reach 10%
Provider Renewable Energy Plans All 83 electric providers filed initial renewable energy plans with the MPSC Schedule of forecasted construction and purchases Show incremental cost for 20-year plan AESs and member regulated cooperatives do not have to show incremental costs

RPS Contract Info • Rate-regulated electric providers must submit RPS supply contracts to the MPSC for review and approval • MPSC has a 30-day target for issuing the order • 20 contracts approved • 16 provide for the purchase of energy, capacity and renewable energy credits • 4 provide for the purchase of renewable energy credits only • 2 pending approval

Future RFPs • We expect both Consumers Energy and Detroit Edison to issue additional RFPs within the next several years. • Detroit Edison has contracted for 250 MW nameplate capacity plus 3 REC-only contracts • Consumers Energy has contracted for 253 MW
