Planning a design • Points to consider for exteriors • What is the mosaic for? • Where is it going to be sited? • Do you want to blend it in, or will it be the focus form which all else flows? • Are the colours of the mosaic suitable for its purpose, size and location? • Is the mosaic the right size for its specific purpose: not so small that is is lost, nor so big that it dominates the space?
My design • The pot which represents my family and my roots – filled with good soil. • The red ribbon represents a gift and ‘ties’ things together for me in celebration.
My design • The round bit represents a plant in flower (which is me growing and blooming).
