  2. What is Pressure? • Pressure is a measure of force over an area • Pressure = Force Area • Example:

  3. Fluid Pressure • A fluid is a substance that flows (i.e. water, syrup, air etc.) • In a fluid, all the forces exerted by individual particles combine to produce an overall pressure

  4. Balanced Pressure • Since pressure is a measurement of force, balanced pressure results in no acceleration • Examples: • Atmospheric pressure = 101,303 Pascal's, but since the pressure is equal all around you it doesn’t crush you. • Soda can example…
