In Text Citations • Allreferences cited in your paper mustappear in your reference list. • Each reference in your reference list must be cited in your text. • Spelling and year need to be identical in both places. • Personal communication is only cited in text and does not appear in the reference list. • The period comes after the parenthesis like this: Now, we spend more time reading via the Internet and texting on our personal devices (Carr, 2009, p 21).
