  1. Comments: *Unfortunately, I can contribute time right now, though my schedule is unpredictable. *I can contribute money but not time. ; *yes *it's money I could contribute; *Well, a little money when I attend to help cover costs.

  2. Showing times breakdown

  3. Comments: *once or twice per month would be great. I think every week is too much although since I did not do any work for this maybe it is not. But it would also allow for newer movies to get into the mix ;*weekly worked okay and its easier to predict/remeber;*I could not guarantee being at every showing, but there is no time that is automatically impossible ;*once a week is good too. If bi-weekly, folks won't remember it is happening

  4. *Racism, sexism, disabilities and all forms of discrimination *Science Documenteries, Extra Terrestrial Documentaries(not just Sirius but also Citizen's Hearing on Disclosure), Technology *racism, sexism, money and US politics, police states, homophobia, Islamophobia *All of the above

  5. Comments: *This should be a crowd-sourcing addition to the planning whereby all those who have attended and provided their email address would be provided a list of prospective films and request recommendations for local speakers. *I was sorry Jean's presentation was cut short. It was so relevant to the movie; one critical voice should not have been able to gut it. No vote was called for her to do the entire presentation; only for a very shortened presentation. And speakers/additional information could possibly attract more people. *quality over quantity *It's nice but not necessary. *Discussion among the group

  6. Comments: *again, quality over quantity. Small actions and big actions for varying commitment/schedules. *It's a good idea for either a film organizer or an audience member to inform people of any possible/available related actions; exhorting people to take actions not so much.

  7. Comments: *Try sandy spring museum or Longwood recreation Center. *We only learned of the event in October and attended one but have had conflicts, including a late work day that came up, regretfully. *Would not work if more people came. *Sometimes too cold *The movie screen is too low and needs cleaning if posible. Not the easiest place to find and no place to hang a publically visable sign. *It's a longish trip for me.

  8. What were the strengths and weaknesses of the 2013 film series? What recommendations would you make to improve this for 2014? Answered: 26 Skipped: 6

  9. Strengths *Progressive liberal approach I personally relate to *Only got to see 2 shows, but great program you produced. Donated $40.00 last night, and would donate more if it were to continue. *good choice of films and interesting discussion ;*variety, activist-oriented *Views we had not been thinkiing about ;*The films were all excellent. *good format--film, break, discussion ; easy to attend;*The range of subjects covered *great movies - thanks for doing this. ;*excellent topics, convenient time *Interesting movies in a community setting *Obscurity. I'd only heard of Gasland. So many others were just fantastic *Good films;*Very informative and relevant to present day issues ;*Diversity of topics *meaningful and instructive ;*That you are doing this! *Great Movie line up, Action items, tie ins to web pages and speakers, Exchange of ideas is great (even if not all believe in UFOs) *great choices *the quality and diversity of the movies; and your providing links to the trailers has enabled me to access the ones I missed; unfortunately, I missed the discussion periods of those I couldn't attend in person (the discussions being another strength of the series). *good films and good discussions ;*Great films!

  10. Weaknesses *Progressive approach doesn't tell the whole story and can isolate some *People discussing the movie while the movie is being shown. *we should put chairs in a circle to facilitate discussion *Friday eve conflicts (end of work week) *Some films we toolong or toodepressins *I did not think the speakers after the film on the Middle East (Palestinians/Israelis) were very good. ;* *Usually views are pretty one sided *none really - meant to make more but just too busy. But Friday evening is probably the best time form me. ; **need to recruit a more diverse audience *Detropiawas light on content. "Five cameras" similarly. Human interest stories weren't locally applicable. Some topics got more attention than others, diversifying can keep the event fresher. *Sometimes there was too long of a wait between the film and the discussion *Not sure having only attended one show; *didn't have any comic relief *Subject matter was way too negative and focused on problems. *Too little time to chat. screen too low ;*no stadium seating or plush cushions *wish there was some way to attract more support;*Need more time for discussion The one I saw was a "downer."It was hard to watch.

  11. Recommendations *Have a more balanced political discussion. ;*Show some films that speak from the right as well as the left;*If it continues on Friday nights, I would like to suggest a later time (i.e. 8:30). Personally, I would have been able to bring more 30-some aged friends with me if it were at a later time. Many individuals I know would be interested in these types of documentaries but work in DC and aren't back in the Olney area until 7-7:30. They would like to eat their dinner and relax a bit prior to viewing. *Continue to survey and propose times to attract more. *perhaps more moderation so discussion does not go off topic *Leave a bit more time for folks to talk after the movie *advertise event with other organizations;**Attract younger crowd *maybe a 2014 poll to select movies? (overridden by the organizers where they see fit for diversity and personal experiences.;*Consider a location a little closer to DC

  12. Recommendations (cont’d) *Show more issues that also include new emerging populations - like the issues related to African Immigrants and the strength they bring etc. *Keep it up as there isn't a long enough track record yet to say it is successful or not. Thanks for the efforts to get this off ground. *set up another site down county on a different night and week *Have more films that present positive, possible and sustainable solutions. *More time to chat. Having a non-movie night where everyone gets togather to discuss ideas/action items. White board to write stuff to show everyone. Move chairs in a circle to have face to face chat(more friendly). Maybe have an internet computer available to show related (short) related content ;*ikept a list at home so can share it later. *Having a screen that's higher up would be a great improvement; somebody's head is usually in the way because the screen is so low. *Film not over one hour, short break, discussion 45 min. *I value having the discussion after the film, but it should provide a safe opportunity for discussion that doesn't have an agenda
