Network LogonEntering your username and password • User name is LAST name, FIRST initial, MIDDLE initial • New passwords are setup as ____________
Network LogonChanging your network password • Once logged in to the network (on your Windows desktop), hold the CTRL + ALT + DEL keys. This will bring up the following window. • Click on CHANGE PASSWORD. In the next window, enter your current password, then enter a new password (and re-enter to confirm the new password).
Password Change • All staff will be required to change their password semi-annually, in the Fall and Spring. • A reminder email will be sent • Password changes can be completed while logged in at school or via the Cloud. • Staff CANNOT change their password through OWA.
Login / Password • Your password must be a minimum of six (6) characters in length, CANNOT start with a number, and meet at least three (3) of the following criteria. • Have at least one (1) letter that is UPPERCASE • Have at least one (1) letter that is lowercase • Have at least one (1) number in the password, but DO NOT start the password with a number • Have at least one (1) unique character, either # (pound sign) or @ (at sign) or $ (dollar sign) • You cannot use your previously used passwords. • You cannot use part of your first or last name in the password. • http://www.vvsd.org/helpdesk/pwchecker/

Microsoft Outlook • Can only be accessed on the district network. • Each district location has a specific setup, please refer to your handouts for setup instructions.
Outlook 2007 Setup • Click Start Programs Microsoft Office Office 2007 Outlook. • Go through the prompts and click Next until it finishes loading. • On the first box click No. • On the second box that pops up RSS feeds, click No.
Microsoft Outlook Web Access • Web based email • Outside the district, connect to www.vvsd.org to access Microsoft OWA. Access directly from owa.vvsd.org/exchange
Online Attendance • An icon should be on your desktop • Can also be accessed from the V drive
Online Attendance Password • CIMS password can be changed at the CIMS Web Access window. • Must be a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 characters. • Must start with an alpha character (not a number). • May contain alpha and numeric characters. • Password reset assistance: helpdesk@vvsd.org
