Africa, East Timor, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Argentina... • The Department of Peace Studies, University of Bradford, hosts the only PeaceJam in the UK and in Europe – run by student mentors & volunteers, strong since 2006!

PeaceJam UK is: • A year-round interactive curriculum for PeaceJam clubs in schools and youth groups • We offer ‘twilight’ sessions for teens on campus and teacher/ youth worker training • Annual Lecture and two-day Youth Conference in March attended by a Nobel Peace Laureate • A one-day follow-up in Nov - PeaceJam Slam
PeaceJam UK • Inspires young people aged13-19 to be active citizens and a new generation of peacemakers, in school, at home, in the world! • helps them choose non-violent solutions to problems and introduces them to global issues • builds their self-esteem and leadership capacity • OUR VISION: To inspire and empower young people aged 13-19 to take positive action as champions for peace and human rights for all!

THE GLOBAL CALL TO ACTION - 10 YEARS – 1 BILLION ACTS OF PEACE! • A challenge made by 10 Nobel Peace Laureates on 26th September 2006, Denver, Colorado, USA to the youth of the world to solve the problems of our time! • “Today we ask the young leaders of PeaceJam, and the youth of the entire world, to join us in a Global Call to Action. For the next ten years, we invite them to work side by side with us as we address ten fundamental issues. These ten core problems are at the root of much of the suffering in our world, and we believe that young people can mobilize to make the difference in these ten key areas.”

Annual Lecture – 5th March 2010! Youth Conference – 6-7th March 2010!
