Verify the I/O port and IRQ settings since NT 4.0 is NOT plug-and-play capable. From Administrative Tools click NT Diagnostics Note that the factory settings for the RoamAbout NIC are I/O port 03040-037F IRQ 10 These may require changing if there is a conflict Verifying the I/O port and IRQ settings Note that here in fact there would be a conflict with the IRQ of 10.
Once you have verified the settings, you may need to select another (unused) IRQ and or I/O port. Which is discussed later in this presentation. Take note of the new value that you will use if you are going to change the defaults Verifying the I/O Port and IRQ Settings
