THANKSGIVING : The origin In 1620, hundreds of English called Pilgrims landed in Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620. They crossed the atlantic on a boat called the Mayflower. They founded the Plymouth Colony. They left europe to go to america because of the religious persecutions. But their debut are dificult, it was very cold. Then the Indians (the Wampanoags) helped theme to survive (fishing, hunting…).
THANKSGIVING : The origin To celebrate the first harvest in the fall of 1621, The Governor William Bradford decreed three days of thanksgiving. The settlers invited the Indians to thank them fortheir elp. During this festival, wild turkys and pigeons were offered. It was the first thanksgiving.
