DSAMH The Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) is located in the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS). Next Steps. . . DSAMH is currently; planning the roll-out of Centers Of Excellence (CoE’s): Purpose of CoE’s: • Contractors will help individuals with Opioid Use Disorder navigate and stay engaged in the health system. • The goal is for contractors statewide to serve 900 patients in the first 12 months of operation. • Contractors will support implementation of an SUD treatment navigation system • Contractors will participate in learning network activities
Next Steps . . . Examples of CoE Services Include: • CoEContractors are required to provide multiple forms of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Opioid Use Disorders and be able to coordinate client services so all forms of MAT services are accessible • Teams must coordinate with other CoEsand Peer Recovery Support Specialist contractor to demonstrate how they intend to work with hospitals to engage individuals • Contractors must deploy OUD-COE care engagement and management team no later than six (6) months after contract execution. • Motivational strategies to encourage individuals with OUD to stay engaged in his/her treatment plan; and drug screens as required
