Valley Bound Commitment Valley-Bound Commitment is a donor-supported student success program that provides a free first year of education at San Bernardino Valley College (enrollment fees, textbooks and parking). Student Voices
Valley Bound Continued… Timeline 2008, pilot program for 36 Colton High School graduates 2009-2010, program was expanded to include 89 students from 12 local feeder high schools 2010-2011, program has expanded to offer a free first year of college to 150 new high school graduates Data • Year-to-year persistence (nearly 90%) • Average GPA (3.0) • Leads to the achievement of certificate/degree/transfer goals • Over 2,200 hours of community service throughout the campus and larger community
