Purpose To provide the 4 BSB Commander an overview of the logistical concept of support for 1st ABCT that effectively supports decisive operations during Phase II of Operation Black Horse.
4 ID Mission Mission: 4TH Division attacks Arianan Forces and seizes OBJ ASP, OBJ RATTLER, and OBJ MAMBA (DTG) IOT prevent the Araianan Forces from executing counter- attacks into Atropia and IOT support the restoration of Atropia’s territorial integrity and border with Ariana. Commanders Intent: The purpose of this operation is to defeat Arianan Forces in the 4 ID AOR and restore the international border between Atropia and Ariana. Endstate: At the conclusion of the operation, 4 ID will have: 1. Pursue and Destroy Araianan forces across international boarder 2. Restore the international border
1ABCT Mission Mission: 1ABCT attack NLT 120700APR2014 along AXIS DEER, as the 4 ID main effort (ME) to seize OBJ ASP IOT prevent Arianan forces from destroying Oil Refinery in vicinity39SUE23882157. Commanders Intent: The purpose of OPERATION BLACK HORSE is to maneuver rapidly from OBJ Viper to seize OBJ ASP, destroy Arianan forces in the zone and secure objective along the international border to enable establishment of Caspian Federation (CF) regional military stability. Endstate: At the conclusion of the operation, 1 ABCT will have: 1. Destroyed enemy armor occupying key terrain in zone 2. Established hasty defensive positions 3.At least 70 % combat power
4th BSB Mission & Intent Mission: 4th BSB will provide forward, continuous and responsive sustainment support to 1 ABCT’s seizing of OBJ ASP from the BSA at OBJ VIPER NLT 120700APR2014 vic38SQK54680845 ISO OPERATION BLACK HORSE. Enemy Situation along AXIS DEER • The reconstituted 130th Mechanized Battalion is conducting area defense VIC 39STE 8645021416. They have been reinforced with a previously unknown Mechanized Battalion from the 4th OSC. As of this time, Battalion has been identified as the 214th Mechanized Battalion. • The reconstituted 132nd Mechanized Battalion is area defense with all other elements VIC 39STE 7177426442. Elements of the 145th Mechanized Battalion (RECON) are conducting Zone Reconnaissance in support of the 132nd Mechanized Battalion. All within the VIC of 2ABCT. 39STE8645021416

CLASS I • Rations • Ration Cycle: M-M-M thru D+4 • 1 DOS Soldier • 1 DOS FSC • 1 DOS BSB • BDE Requirement: 21 pallets per day • Ration Cycle: H&S-M-H&S at D+5 Issue Cycle 3-2-2 • 3 DOS (57 pallets) • Transportation required (Maneuver): • 1 x LHS for 1 DOS MREs • 2 x LHS for 3 DOS H&S and MREs • Bottled Water • Bottled water is the primary source of water until D+4 • BDE Requirement: 139 pallets per day @ 7.9 gallons per person per day • Transportation required (Maneuver): • 4 x LHS for 1 DOS • Ice • Ice issue will be replenished with H&S rations • BDE Requirement: 9 pallets per day @ 2 lbs per person per day • 3 DOS (27 pallets) of ice supplied on D+4 from 4 SB • Transportation required (Maneuver): • 4 x MTRCS
GENERAL SUPPLY • Class IV • BSB will provide unit with CL IV during LOGPAC pushes • BDE Requirement: 68 pallets of per day @ 3.74 lbs per person per day • Transportation requirements: • 3 x LHS for 1 DOS • 11 x LHS for 3 DOS • Class II • Units will deploy with 2 JSLIST per Soldier • JSLIST will be replenished upon request through support channels • BDE Requirement: 16 pallets per day @ 1.6 lbs per person • Transportation requirements: • 1 x LHS for 1 DOS • 3 x LHS for 3 DOS • Class III(P) • Class III(P) will be available at the BSB upon request prior to D+4 • BDE Requirement: 3 pallets of per day @ .51 lbs per person per day • Four 55 gallon drums will be needed for UAV (Shadow) for the operation • Transportation requirements: • 1 x LHS for 1 DOS • 1 x LHS for 3 DOS
CLASS III (B) • Concept • Provide each FSC with additional fuel assets from the A/4 BSB • Refuel operations will be conducted NLT than H+68, H+80 and H+90 • Mission Considerations • 4 BSB will have reduced fuel assets for a 26-hour period • Consumption rates may vary if the enemy disposition changes CL III (B) CONSUMPTION
CLASS V Unit distribution for maneuver units and supply point distribution for units located in the BSA. CLASS III (B) BULK FUEL • Concept • ATHP will serve as the primary supply point for 1 ABCT units. • 4th SB will re-supply 1ABCT ATHP • Stock objective: 1 DOS with FSC and 2 DOS at BSA • Ammunition will be divided into holding zones, separated by classification • CL V distribution to the FSC level will be based off the daily LOGSTAT max1hr travel time LRP • LOGSTAT submitted for forecasting 24,48 and 72 hour for replenishment LRP LRP LRP
CL V Considerations: • Class V –Issued to units based established priorities listing • Class V – Single line –item DODIC ordering authorized • CSR (controlled supply rate) changes can and will be authorized as the tactical situation changes • No shortfall CSR DODICs can be supplemented because the OBJ ASP is oil refinery.
MEDICAL / CLASS VIII AXP AXP • Concept • Casualties will be transferred from point of injury to BSA for Role II Care • From BSA, casualties will be transported to appropriate level of care. • Level of Care • Role I – Unit Level • Role II – BSA • Role III – TAA Stuart/LSA Wabash • Role IV – Evac to NAVMEDCEN, Naples, Italy BAS
MORTUARY AFFAIRS • Concept • One MA team will be attached to 4 BSB NLT D+2 • Units are responsible for coordination of remains evacuation to the SB MACP or TMEP CONUS TMEP LSA Giant • Capabilities • MA Team can process 18 to 20 remains daily • Remains require 90 lbs of ice each • 48hr recovery time from point of death to CONUS Concurrent Return 4SB MACP LSA WABASH • Mission Considerations • Hasty or mass burials not authorized • Ice requirement Unit MACP Point of Death MAP with concurrent return plan
MAINTENANCE • Concept • Maintain at least 70% combat power at conclusion of the operation • FSC will provide on-site maintenance IAW repair time and evacuation timelines • 2 HET will provide 6 additional HET recovery assets • Mission Consideration • Loss rate of vehicles exceed organic recovery capabilities • Controlled exchange authorized at Battalion level; not to exceed 5 parts per system UMCP UMCP PLACE MAP HERE WITH UMCP’S ) (
