Capacity Release Redesign - Phase II Overview • Goal – Respond to customer requests for improvements in system performance and streamlining the capacity release process. The project was undertaken in two phases. Phase I, implemented in July 2006, addressed the Offers and Bids sections. Phase II, presented here, addresses the Awards Page and the new Recall/Reput sections of capacity release. • Changes • New Recall/Reput page • Show/Hide feature has been added to collapse filters on the page, maximizing space for the display of requested data • Action buttons, radio dials and smart dropdown boxes used to minimize number of clicks • Several new filters and multiple selection boxes have been added • A few select filter defaults and pre-populated data fields have been implemented
Awards • The Awards Page is designed to provide information for capacity release offers that have ultimately been awarded. • Featured changes: • Show/Hide feature allows the option of showing or hiding the filters on the page in order to maximize the number of records viewable on the page • Reorganized filters and columns • Capacity Award Date will default to the first calendar date of the current month • Improved filtering capability: • Award No. and Offer No. fields will accept direct entry of multiple award or offer numbers separated by a comma. (up to seven criteria may be directly entered) • Rate Schedule and Rate Form/Type now include links which allow multiple selection of search criteria • New filter options have been provided for Location Zone (Receipt and Delivery, Permanent Release and Telescoped to facilitate specific data retrieval) • New data columns include: Releasing Contract, Location Zone, Permanent Release, Award Rate/PCT, and Eff Awd Cycle. • Recall List action has been eliminated from the Awards Page as a new page has been developed specifically for Recall/Reput. • To access Awards from the Customer Activities Home Page>Capacity Release>Awards
Customer Activities Home>Capacity Release>Awards • Awards Page will open blank with the Capacity Award Date defaulted to the beginning of the current month.

Recall/Reput List • The Recall/Reput List Page is designed to allow the recall and/or reput of awarded offers. The functionality to accomplish the recall or reput of capacity was previously accessed through the Awards Page. 1Line now has a Recall/Reput List page within the Capacity Release area. • Features/Functionality of newly created Recall/Reput List Page: • Show/Hide feature allows the option of showing or hiding the filters on the page in order to maximize the number of records viewable on the page • Some of the filtering options available are: • Release Term Start Date and Release Term End Date • Recall/Reput Term Start Date and Recall/Reput Term End Date • Award No. and Offer No. fields will accept direct entry of multiple award or offer numbers separated by a comma. (up to seven criteria may be directly entered) • Rate Schedule includes link which allows multiple selection of search criteria • Filter options have been also been provided for Location Zone (Receipt and Delivery) and for Recall Notification Period • Recall/Reput List is initially loaded blank, meaning no filters are set and not data is displayed • All recallable offers may be viewed; however, security rules will only allow the recall of awards by the customer or agent of the award. • Awarded offers that have a Recall/Reput criteria of “Capacity not recallable” will not be viewable on this page. • To access Awards from the Customer Activities Home Page>Capacity Release>Recall/Reput List
Customer Activities Home Page>Capacity Release> Recall/Reput List Note: The Create Recall action appears in the upper section of the page while the Create Reput action appears in the bottom section of the page.
Based on the filter criteria, multiple awards may be displayed on the page. • Only one award may be selected to create a recall. • A filter option such as Award No. may be used to filter out a single award.
Using the radio buttons, select the desired award number to be recalled. • Next, select Create Recall from the action buttons or from the action menu at the top of the page. • The Recall Details page will be displayed next.
DELIVERY PT • The Recall Start Date and Recall End Date will default to the same calendar date. This date will be the first date a recall may be submitted. These default dates may be changed. • The quantity available to recall for the specified dates will be pre-populated. • If the Recall Term Start Date, Recall Term End Date or Total Recall Qty are modified from the pre-populated values, the Validate action must be selected in order to ensure that the recall qty is valid for the specified dates. • Validations on the page will not allow a recall to exceed the award quantity available to recall and this message is returned: Error: Total Recall Qty entered can not be greater than max available recall quantity. Max available quantity is “quantity stated”. • Note: If the recall/reput option for the award indicates that reput is not allowed, the end date of the recall will equal the end date of the release and will not be editable.
8000 DELIVERY PT 8000 • After the term and quantity of the recall have been entered, the Validate, Submit or Close action may be selected. • The Validate action will perform validations and return a message if there are errors on the recall. • The Submit action will also perform validations. If there are no errors, the recall will be processed. • Once the recall has been successfully submitted, the following message is displayed at the bottom of the page: Recall validated successfully and is being processed. Please check back after some time. You will be notified upon the completion of the recall. • The notification referenced will be done via email. Notification will also be sent if recall fails. • The Close action will cause a prompt box to appear indicating that data will be lost and will require an Ok or Cancel. Ok will take the user back to the Recall/Reput List page and Cancel will allow the user to continue with the recall in progress.
Following completion of the recall, a row will be displayed in the bottom section of the page with the new recall data. • There will also be a row of information for each recall done for an earlier date. • To View or Create a Reput from the completed recall, select the row then the desired action.
DELIVERY PT • Upon selection of a recall row and the Create Reput action from the List page, the Reput Details page will be displayed as pictured above. • Note that NAESB prohibits a reput for the first day a recall is effective. • The Recall Start and Recall End dates are provided on the Reput Details screen for informational purposes. • The Reput Term Start and Reput Term End dates will default to the same calendar date which is the first available date that a reput may be done. • The Total Reput Qty will be pre-populated with the quantity available to reput.
DEIVERY PT • After the term and quantity of the reput have been entered the Validate, Submit or Close action may be selected. • The Validate action button will perform validations and return a message if there are errors on the reput. • The Submit action button will also perform validations but if there are no errors the reput will be processed. • The Close action will cause a prompt box to appear indicating that data will be lost and will require an Ok or Cancel. Ok will take the user back to the Recall/Reput List page and Cancel will allow the user to continue with the reput in progress. • Email notification will be sent once the reput is processed.
Following completion of the reput, a row will be displayed in the bottom section of the page with the new reput data. • A user may View the details of completed reput by selecting the row and the View Reput action.
The View pages for Recall Details and Reput Details are identical to the create pages except that there are no editable fields.
