What natural resource is being used and how is this turned into useable energy? • Answer: Wave energy is the transport of energy by ocean surface waves, and the capture of that energy to do useful work – for example, electricity generation, or the pumping of water (into reservoirs). Machinery able to exploit wave power is generally known as a wave energy converter (WEC).

  3. 2. What locations in the world is this being used? • Answer: Portugal, United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. These places where waves are made into useable energy are called Wave Farms.

  4. 3. List the pros and cons of using this resource. • Pros : Wave Power gains about 2,700 gigawatts of power • Cons : Noise Pollution and another con is that out of 2,700 gigawatts of power, we are only gathering 500 gigawatts of power.
