  7. Functionalism can be defined as what? • How mental process help organisms adapt to their environment • Bicycle • Takes focus and attention to learn • Becomes second nature after repetition

  8. What is psychoanalysis? • Unconscious motives and internal conflicts determine human behavior.

  9. What is psychodynamic thinking? • Idea that claims most of what exists in the mind is unconscious and consists of conflicting impulses, urges, and wishes.
