Important Contributors The next slides show some of the famous people who contributed to make the Institute so prestigious…
Girolamo Montani Earl Girolamo Montani was financer and inspirer of the Project, he reflected the progressive ideas and high moral commitment to a national culture that fully lived yet in romantic ideals.
Marquis Trevisani Major of Fermo(1861-1878), together with architect Giovan Battista Carducci, they wanted to entrust the direction of the institute to someone who possessed updated skills. So they called a young French engineer from France, Ippolito Langlois to direct the school.
Ippolito Langlois Headmaster of the school, he introduced immediately the educational systems of the "écoles politecniques", wanted by Napoleon III to support the industrial development in France. In 1884, thanks to Langlois, the "Arts and Crafts Institute" transformed into "Industrial School for the Marche region".
…and we’re still there… Thanks to many other headmasters, teachers and students, the school has always maintained a primary role on a national level…and in 2014, we are celebrating our 160° anniversary.
