  1. Our President- Barack Obama Fun Facts about the United States Tourist Sites in the U.S. New York City- It is the most populous city in the United States. When visited New York City you can see several tourist locations such as the famous Time Square where the New Year’s Eve ball drops, and Central Park. It is also a short ride to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. • The world’s highest roller coaster is located in Ohio. • The First US capital city was New York City. • The center of the U.S> is in the town of Rugby, North Dakota. • The wettest place in the world is Mountain Waialeale in Hawaii. • More breakfast cereal is made in Battle Creek, Michigan than any other place in the world. • In Nebraska, you can still see the tracks of wagons from over 100 years ago. • The only palace to have been used by a British monarch in the U.S. is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. • Although English is the most commonly spoken language in the U.S. and the language used in government, the country has no official language. • The deepest lake in the U.S. is Crater Lake, located in Oregon. It is 1,932 feet and is the seventh deepest lake in the world. President Obama is the 44th president of the United States of America. He is also the first African American to hold the position. He graduated form Columbia University and Harvard law School. He is in the Democratic Party and served three terms in the Illinois Senate. He signed the economic stimulus and also the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act in 2010. He lives in the White House with his wife, Michelle, his two daughters, Malia, and Sasha, and their new puppy. Washington D.C.- It is the capital of the United States. Here you can visit the Lincoln Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, the Washington Monument, and even take a guided tour of the White House. Yellowstone National Park- It was established in 1872 and is America’s first national park. It is located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. It his home to many animals like grizzly bears, wolves. Bison, and elk. Old faithful is one of the biggest geysers.
