Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is essentially an exam on the thorough understanding of candidates in various undergraduate science subjects in engineering, technology, architecture and postgraduate level. • GATE certification is a compulsory prerequisite to qualify for admission and financial assistance to: • Master's programs in engineering, technology, architecture and related doctoral p, programs • Doctoral programs in related arts and science fields, in institutions funded by the MoE and other agencies of government.
Also in some colleges and institutions that accept students without a MoE scholarship, GATE qualifications are required. Throughout their recruiting process, the GATE ranking has also been used by several public sector firms and to clear the same it is needed to take Gate Physics Coaching. The GATE exam is carried out once a year, that is, in February. The notices reporting the GATE exam released in September in the national circulation weekly journal and the candidates have no age limit. The GATE score will be based on data from multiple years of tests, which will reflect the candidates' relative performance levels in a specific subject.Note that the GATE score is accurate for three years starting from the date the results are published.
Candidates are eligible to appear in GATE: • Holders of Bachelor's degree in Engineering and those in the final year of such programmes. • Bachelor of architecture graduates, and those who hold such programs in the final year. • Bachelor’s Four-year program in Science degree holders and others who are in the final year of these programmes. • Four year Master of Integrated Engineering and 2nd or higher year Master in these programs.
