Firewise Teacher Training • Included: • Firewise in the Classroom Community Assessment Curriculum • Minnesota DNR Forestry Education posters and resources • GIS (Firewise in the Classroom) and GPS training • Field Trips: MN Interagency Fire Center and Forest History Center • Beverages, breakfast and lunch • CEUs and stipend • Ongoing DNR support

Firewise • National and Minnesota program designed to help communities reduce the wildfire risk of homes on the edge of urban areas. • Since 2004, the U.S. Forest Service, through Firewise Minnesota, has provided grant funds to the Minnesota Alliance for Geographic Education (MAGE) to support curriculum writing and teacher training.
