  3. procedures 1. Obtain a set of Magic Melting Blocks – one made wood, the other made of metal. 2. To set up Magic Melting Blocks, place the plastic ring on each block. 3. Place one cube of ice on each block. 4. Observe the rate at which the ice melts on each block. 5. Discard melted ice cubes in a sink, and dry off both blocks with a paper towel.
