  2. Once upon a time, long long ago…There was a family of monkeys.

  3. The monkeys loved to eat the bananas that grew high in the trees.

  4. The problem was that the tree was guarded by some mean gorillas.

  5. Everyday, the daddy monkey would ask if he could get some bananas for his monkey children.

  6. The gorillas always said “NO!!!”

  7. One day the monkey family came up with a plan. They decided to trick the gorillas.

  8. The momma monkey told the gorillas that she was on her way to get monkeys from another tree. She said that the bananas there were better than theirs.

  9. The gorillas told her that she could not have those bananas either. They said they owned all the banana trees. They went to the place where the other tree was. As they stepped under the tree, they began to sink. They were in quicksand.

  10. The monkeys told the gorillas that they would help them get out but only if they started sharing the bananas. The gorillas agreed.

  11. The monkeys and gorillas lived happily every after.
