  2. There are nearly 4 million hectares of forests in Bulgaria, which represent 34% of our territory.

  3. Our forests are on average 49 years old. Nearly 55% of them are young, 30% are 40 – 80 years old and centuries – old forests are 9.2%.

  4. Keep forests, because: they provide 85% of water resources of the country or 3.5 milliards cubic metres pure drinking water.

  5. Bulgaria is on the third placein Europe of biological diversity with a lot of rare and endemic species.

  6. There is a great variety of organisms in our forests.

  7. On the Bulgarianterritory are differentiated3 national parks,10 Natural parksand55 forest reserves.

You, who are delighted by this Nature beauty, remember – It is mine. You, who enjoy birds’ singing, remember – It is mine. Without me, the Earth will turn into a desert... Without me, these pure springs will get dry. Without me, all joyful birds will fly away. Without me, the air will be polluted. Without me, this beauty will disappear. That’s why – preserve me, love me…
