  3. Apostles: Under Authority of Christ (Matt. 10:1-10) • He SELECTED them, Mark 3:14-15; John 15:16 • “Whom he also named apostles”(Lk. 6:13) “one that is sent” • Apostles were sent… • TO PREACH,10:7; Luke 9:2, 6 • TO HEAL,10:1, 8 • URGENTLY,10:9-10 (Lk. 22:35-38)

  4. Apostles: Under Authority of Christ (Matt. 10:1-10) • He EMPOWERED them, 10:1, 8; Luke 9:1 • Acted with His power, Acts 4:8-10 • Taught with heaven’s authority, Matt. 16:19; Jno. 20:22-23 • Our authority and strength comes from Christ, Col. 3:17; Phil. 4:13; 2 Cor. 12:10
