  6. “War” By: David Hourin Soldiers lay awake Waiting for day to break Thinking about the day ahead The brave, the wounded, and the dead Young men and women scared to death Afraid of taking a single breath Bombs exploding, people dying Soldiers on the ground crying Bullets flying past their head The battlefield painted red Not knowing which breath could be your last The ground shakes with every blast Band of brothers, band of friends Knowing today your life might end Until they come home, only time will tell But they can't take much more of this hell Waking up every morning at four This is chaos, this is war
