  6. Timeline 1732- Washington born 1743- Georges father dies and moves to mount. Vernon 1753-rivalry grows between the British and French 1753-George was sent to warn a French commander

  7. Timeline (Continued) 1757- George was sent home with dysentery 1758-He returned to duty to capture fort Duquesne Dec. 1758-Resigns from army 1759- Marries Mary Dandridge 1774-elected delegate in 1st continental congress 1775-elected delegate in 2nd continental congress 1799- Washington dies
