  2. Why Career Exploration/Economics • Create early career awareness • Expose students to available career opportunities through career exploration • Introduce the student to career clusters • Begin planning for high school courses of study

  3. Typical Schedule • Three Day Module 1 day in the classroom 3 days in the computer lab Last day for students make-up work • Administrators will schedule Labs with your lab Liaison • All work must be completed by December

Computer Lab-Day 4 • Have students fill out CLUSTER_WORKSHEET.doc./What Career Interest You? • Go to achievetexas.org/Programs of Study • Select their Cluster and answer: • Question 1 by selecting-College and Career Planning Guide for Students • Question 2 by selecting-Covers for Programs of Study • Qusetion 3 by selection-Career Cluster Programs of Study Model

Computer Lab-Day 2 • Student Logins and passwords • Have students login and change password after login • LOGIN: ep-123456 • PASSWORD: YYYYMMDD • Admin Side • Login to www.careercruising/school • Adding New Students • Click-Add New Student • Use a default password (YYYYMMDD) • Under Student Administration select Assign students to an Advisor/Select Grade and view list

  11. Computer Lab-Day 3 • Students login to Career Cruising and go to Assessments and complete: • Match Maker and Save (Only do 39 questions) • Skills and Save • My Career Cluster Selection (Under Student Portfolio) and Save

  12. Make-up-Day 5 • Have students complete all unfinished work.
