  5. Confederates Entrench • PGT Beauregard entrenches along Bull Run Creek

  6. The Social Event of the Time! • Washington Elites go to picnic to watch the battle

  7. Initial Success! • McDowell breaks through enemy lines early

  8. A Legend is Born! • Thomas Jackson rallies Confederates! • Holds line like “A Stone Wall”

  9. Confederates Rally! • Hold line then counterattack through Union Lines • Picnickers are forced to retreat with Soldiers • Union dead and wounded left on the field
