  1. What’s YOUR Perspective? What inspires your learning when you look out the window?

  2. The Challenge • Draw a sketch of what you want to see when you look out the window or door of your ideal learning space. • If you walked outside and stood in the middle of the street you would see outside your classroom window, what would you see?

  3. Criteria • Perspective, according to Brunelleschi • 3 or more buildings • At least one creative element • Be able to communicate and identify the math lingo as you discuss your sketch with your partner and Mrs. Powers

  4. Math Lingo Point: has NO dimension; represented by a small dot Line: has ONE dimension; represented by a straight line with 2 arrowheads, showing the line extends in 2 directions endlessly. Plane: has TWO dimensions; looks like a parallelogram; REMEMBER: a PLANE extends without end in all directions.

  5. Know the short-hand More Math Lingo Collinear Points: Points that lie on the same _______. Coplanar Points: Points that lie on the same _______. Line Segment: has 2 endpoints Ray: has 1 endpoint (Initial Point) and one arrow. Opposite Rays

  7. Can You Use the Lingo? Be sure you can answer using the correct shorthand. Answer on an half-sheet (exit ticket) Identify 2 collinear points in your sketch? Name 3 different planes in your sketch. Name 4 coplanar points. Name 1 line that is at the intersection of 2 planes.
