  3. Here are the seeds

  4. Plant them in a pot.

  5. Water the seeds to help them grow.

  6. The sun gives the seeds warmth and light.

  7. The seed begins to grow

  8. It keeps getting bigger...

  9. ...and bigger...

  10. ...and the roots grow down into the ground.

  11. With more care the sunflower gets taller

  12. They still need water.

  13. Now the flower is about to open. Watch carefully!

  14. These are the petals Here are the seeds Here are the leaves This is the stem

  15. The beautiful sunflower grows towards the sun.

  16. This sunflower has grown very tall.

  17. Can you see the seeds?

  18. When the sunflower dies the seeds are left behind.

  19. We can plant the new seeds.
