ABOUT TRANSTATS TranStats offers analysts several unique features: • Interactive analytical tools (future plans for CTPP, available on other databases.) • One-Way Statistical Summaries • Time Series Analysis • Online Graphics • Cross Tabulations • Data download • Selective download ofvariables of interest • Download the data as comma separated files “csv” format directly to your PC for analysis • Pre-zipped data files available for large databases • Download Analysis results • Print Analysis reports generated • Selective download by GROUPS of data • Online data documentation • Profiles on each Database • Table Summaries and Profiles • Data Definitions • Code Information for Data variables

ABOUT CTPP: Census Transportation Planning Package • CTPP is a collection of summary tables generated from the census short- and long-form. • Collected once in 10 years: 1990 and 2000. • It contains information about • population • household characteristics • worker characteristics • characteristics of the Journey-to-Work (JTW). • Data organized into 3 types of collections: • Summaries by Place of Residence • Summaries by Place of Work • Summaries by Journey to Work

ABOUT CTPP: Census Transportation Planning Package (continued…..) • CTPP is organized into State and Urban Geographies • State summaries include data for • all places of 2,500 or more population, • the balance of the county, • the county as a whole, • the entire state. • Urban Element of CTPP consists of data summaries for urbanized areas with a population of 50,000 or more. • Summary tabulations are available for traffic analysis zones (TAZs) that have been defined by state and regional transportation agencies.
