  3. Information His name was William Ellsworth He was born in Houck town, Ohio, on May 23, 1862 He had a tragic deaf, he died in 1961 at the age 99.

  4. How he became Deaf • He became deaf from a illness called spinal meningitis. • He was diagnose with it at the age of 2.

  5. Past • He went to Ohio School for the Deaf. • He started his professional career in 1886 in Oshkosh.

  6. Family • He was married by Anna Maria. • They also raised his nephew, Paul How Helmes

  7. Famous • He became the first MLB Deaf person on April 20,1988. • He was being treated like a star. • He made an impact on that no matter what happens you can still achieve your dreams.
